Another weird idea that makes someone easily rich, this time from the head of a philosopher-artist. Because we buy anything.

These little boxes are made by the italian Michelangelo Roberti. Every piece is numbered, and there are 999 altogether. Every box costs 0,50 dollar more than the one before. So far, 60 is sold, and the next cube costs 90 dollars.

This contemporary piece of art is playing with human curiousity. In every cube there is something. But it can’t be opened, only by breaking it, so we have to destroy the piece of art to know what’s inside the wooden cube. To make it even more curiouser, the artist says on his website, that “another thing will happen when i will have sold all the cubes. For now i can only say that the “content” of the black cubes will change the meaning of my project.” The content only have sense while inside the cube. It losts its meaning if you open it.
What would you do?

We still cannot fall out of love with polka dots. Especially since those little dots aren’t really dots, but gaps, that lets the internal lighting system be seen. The moodlighting is sorted then.

It is available in three different sizes and in various colours.

Everyone can be a DJ. If not in reality, in the bathroom for sure. Thanks to Alexander Munk, who designed the It’s All So Quiet bathroom concept.

The similarity is not only in the get-up. The taps should be moved how you move the pick-up of a record player. The water flows when it moved over 35 degrees, by lifting or lowering the control you can adjust the pressure, and the fader controls the temperature. The music is the sound of the water.
And if we look in the mirror, we can check how we would look like behind the decks.

A round bed. What could be more comfortable? You just cannot stretch too far.

Lugi Massoni designed this bed, named Lullaby Due, that could be labeled as retro easily. But soon we discover, that this bed was actually designed in 1968, and they started to reproduce it recently. So instead of calling it retro, we might as well call it period.
The bed measures approximately 92″ diameter and 44″ height. The round mattress is included, but you have to find yourself round sheets and round duvets. But i guess, if you can pay over 10000 dollars for the bed, this won’t be a problem either.

Dario Antonioni and Brandon Lynne designed this truly beautiful piece. The Botanist Bench is named after the flower motive that is cut into the modern aluminium form.

The design is inspired by minimalism and feminism. It is not only suitable for indoor usage, but also for outdoor use. A matching coffee table and side table is available as well, all in five different colours.
Don’t worry as long as you have orange. Or a banana. Or any kind of fruit or vegetable.

This digital watch is really only powered by the natural ingredients of the fruit. The Fruit Clock uses the original scientific principles on which all modern electrical storage batteries are based. The functioning of the clock is based on the experiments of Alessandro Volta from 19800. The ultimate in clean and renewable power sources!

London is a cult city, let alone the London tube. The map of the tube has become a symbol of the city, so it’s not a surprise that designers started to use it as inspiration. On the website of Art Meets Matter you can choose from various items.

After the 1up mushroom, now here’s another funny growing present. The Magic Message Egg produces various messages after a few days of watering.

The novelty is that you give a 9cm egg in a can, that after 3 hours of the opening and watering cracks, and in a week your message will appear from the bean that was inside the egg.

I’m a bit worried about the state of health of the fish, but excluding that, it’s a sweet idea to move your goldfish into his own little office space.
It’s recommended especially to those working overtime, who seek symphaty. It’s good to see you’re not the only one still working at late hours.

It looks nice, but is it functional? Looking at Jessica Nebels rocking chair, it guarantees a slippage.

The Rocking Cube is cushioned with foam for the comfort, and the interior is wooden for warmth and cosiness.

If you don’t have any better ideas, here’s a prize-winning idea. Duncan Wilson together with Sirkka Hammer designed this always changing wallpaper made from a tacky adhesive similar to ‘post-it’ notes.

All the layers are different shades of grey, and the last layer is alarmingly red.

This way the wall is a functional piece, we can write on it, and it’s us who decide on the shapes and on the atmosphere.

“Music is one of my greatest sources of inspiration, I listen to songs and I want to create a new piece.”
