If you don’t have any better ideas, here’s a prize-winning idea. Duncan Wilson together with Sirkka Hammer designed this always changing wallpaper made from a tacky adhesive similar to ‘post-it’ notes.

All the layers are different shades of grey, and the last layer is alarmingly red.

This way the wall is a functional piece, we can write on it, and it’s us who decide on the shapes and on the atmosphere.

@asdf I LOVE how well you articulated your argument. Strong tone yet intelligently critiqued with several points justifying your position.
I think this is a neat idea, maybe would be cool with different colors? Kind of reminds me of that wii tennis game.

i think this is a great idea for an open colab office or an artists study.

It’d be nice if there was a reset button somewhere. Having this in an office anywhere around here you’d just have a room full of giant red penises!

This is really cool, I’d so use it. I’m sure I’d have a whole system going within a week, heh.

Although asdf (great name) might not have provided any arguments for why this is “stupppid”, something like this should sure as hell not be regarded as “a prize-winning idea”; that’s simply too much credit for a somewhat nice, but otherwise completely useless piece of art.

Personally, it seems like a lot of work and it’s not very nice looking. Plus it’s a big waste of paper to be changing it a lot.

I like this a lot actually. For a while now I’ve had a wall with about 30 post-its myself, and I love it. But this looks even nicer :)
