There are things that never go out of fashion. Like the Ball Chair. The classic design from the 60s is by Eero Aarnio, who has other appealing items as well, like the Bubble Chair.

The chair hangs from the ceiling, and has the same special acoustics as the Ball Chair. After designing that one, Mr. Aarnio decided to make something that has all the advantage of the Ball Chair, but also has the light inside - that is how the idea of a transparent plastic chair was born.

Not many people know, but the original Aarnio furniture is still available to buy all over the globe. It’s not cheap though. For example, the Bubble Chair costs approximately 2300 pounds.

During the long time since matches are made there were hardly any changes in design. The box itself is always a picture of the time it was created, but it lacks any modern style. Here is an idea that stops the times when those who can light a match with one hand count to be heroes.

These matches are called Lucifer, and made by Feel Addicted who we already know for their great and absurd ideas.

The gratter is made of a stone, and the glass can be refilled, so it can be used indefinitely. It’s pretty, it’s elegant. And it is a concept.

Keetra Dean Dixon artist and designer. her projects are very different, but they’re all original and yes, they all make you wonder. It could be media, installation, outdoor, indoor, a painting or even a montage.
However, her nicest project is this blanket. It doesn’t need too much explanation.

Wine That Loves is a rebellious wine company against snobbery. I like my wine just as much as everyone else, but when it comes to pairing it with food - i’m useless, i always go for the bottle that looks nice. It is much easier from now on.

The wines are selected by America’s top wine tasters, so you still get the quality. At the moment, you can choose from 5 different taste, but it is located - where else? - in San Francisco.

We know the disadvantages of the consumer society. They only make products to last for a short period of time, so you can always buy the newest ones. Combining this with todays obsession with pixels, Studio 1am designed the self-destruct table.

“Made of concrete “pixels,” each time a new table is produced, a pixel is removed from the design. Because material is taken away with each rendition, every table is unique. Following these set rules of self-destruction, the shape becomes more intricate as it diminishes. As a result, the project is a limited production, made only until the shape is no longer desirable.”

The next table available is without 3 pixels, and sells for 1200 dollars.

Dalek doesn’t say much about himself. Dalek seems to be a bit like his paintings. Dalek likes to question, but doesn’t like to answer. At least this is what his website shows us.

He prefers to talk about space monkeys marching to the left, happy, carefree world, and other nonsense. Nothing about how he got here, and where exactly he got to.

But he has two monographs out already. Get lost among the space monkeys and try to find Micky Mouse!
The dutch Nexus Technology thought it was boring to have big and ugly home PCs, so they created something smaller, something nicer, and something that can be customized.
Nexus is known for wanting to make everything more quiet. They decided to combine this need with the trend of making every object we use in the home a part of it too. That is how Psile was born, a home PC that is quiet, that looks modern and can be customized to our taste and to our home.

On the website you can download a template and make your own design.

There are things we buy but we never use them. Vinyls that never get out of their wrapping, old wine that waits forever for the right time to be opened, and… rugs, that we never want to step on.

The Audrey Hepburn rug costs 415 pounds. Unfortunately the appartment and the lifestyle isn’t included.

The toaster design is officially the new trend nowdays, and here’s another addition to the market - only in concept yet.

The Hood Toaster was designed by Atil Kizilbayir and it works as a conveyor belt, letting the bread travel through the toaster, while the heating wire toasts it.

Tanning, anyone?
