There are things that never go out of fashion. Like the Ball Chair. The classic design from the 60s is by Eero Aarnio, who has other appealing items as well, like the Bubble Chair.

The chair hangs from the ceiling, and has the same special acoustics as the Ball Chair. After designing that one, Mr. Aarnio decided to make something that has all the advantage of the Ball Chair, but also has the light inside – that is how the idea of a transparent plastic chair was born.

Not many people know, but the original Aarnio furniture is still available to buy all over the globe. It’s not cheap though. For example, the Bubble Chair costs approximately 2300 pounds.
