“Karakiri is a friendly octopus”. It says on its website. We also learn that it is custom made in the desired colour and sizes. It’s washable, friendly with your skin, and what is more important: very, very huggable!

And cats love it.

I believe every reader of the site feels, that this was made for us. We love to look stylish even while cleaning, and of course we wouldn’t take out the rubbish in slippers and without make up. That’s why we always ask a leaving friend to do that for us. But yes, from now on, emptying the bin is our new favourite thing.

We must admit, walking in high heels is still something we need to work on, but these bin liners take us a step closer to being really glamourous.

The Design Boom competition, named “A Door To Paradise” was asking designers to transform the door as we know it into something that adds a bit of extra to it. Almost 4000 designers from 90 countries participated. In the jury there was Peter Gabriel, the musician as well. The winner has been chosen, but it’s another idea that’s all over the internet at the moment.

It’s the idea of Franzel Tobias and Martin Likasczy from Germany: the door that can be transformed into a ping-pong table. It’s perfect for offices or for homes, to release or ease the pressure. I can see Google – who give away free bikes to their workers – loving the idea.
