The Design Boom competition, named “A Door To Paradise” was asking designers to transform the door as we know it into something that adds a bit of extra to it. Almost 4000 designers from 90 countries participated. In the jury there was Peter Gabriel, the musician as well. The winner has been chosen, but it’s another idea that’s all over the internet at the moment.

It’s the idea of Franzel Tobias and Martin Likasczy from Germany: the door that can be transformed into a ping-pong table. It’s perfect for offices or for homes, to release or ease the pressure. I can see Google - who give away free bikes to their workers - loving the idea.
