Icecream, chocolate biscuits, champagne, films, tissues. The signs of a breakup. Or signs of giving up cigarettes. But we know, there’s a better (?) solution for the latter one. So why wouldn’t we use patches in case of a broken heart, that would help giving up love?

A box costs only 9,50 euros, and contains 12 patches. It is also available in “Work” and “TV” versions. I know who I want to send them to.

It would be great, if we didn’t have to face ourselves in the mirror straight after getting out of bed. I would rather look at someone pretty while brushing my teeth. Someone, like Twiggy, the famous model from the 60s.

The mirror is approximately 12 x 12 inches, which is just big enough for your face. And for Twiggy’s. Always look at the one that is more appealing.

We know ever since we were watching Tom and Jerry, that cats are in fact much nicer than mice. And since (almost) everyone who uses a computer has a mouse as well, why wouldn’t you get a cat too to tame that naughty thing. Of course it’s a bit outdated today, in the era of wirelessness, and most of us are totally happy with their touchpads.

But for only 5,50 euros, i really wouldn’t mind having him around, just in case.

Catalina Estrada was loved already on our site, but we have to do it again. The reason is her collaboration with brazilian brand Anunciacao, who they created a new collection with, using the artists illustrations on the already extrawagant clothes.

Sunshine, palm trees, ocean, cocktails! Here I come!

Melia design company was founded in 1999, and we suggest you get their Gino coffee table, if your home is inspired by sci-fi movies from the 70s.

The table is 48 x 92 x 49 cms, but can be costum made to your required length. They are all hand made, available in chosen colours, in high-gloss lacquer or laminate finish. All this from 995 pounds. Nice.

Yes, i may have had an odd childhood, but i always wanted to be a cartoon hero. This seems to have influenced later my outfits, my haircolours, etc. Although, now it seems, it would have been much easier and healthier to get myself portrayed as one.

“Custom Portraits offers you a unique opportunity to commission personalised pop art portraits. Pepito Junior Carlos, our graphic portrait artist based in London UK, specialises in a funky pop art style influenced by comic book art.” You can choose between modern and retro styles, and you also get to choose the size of the canvas and the colours he’s using.

Hi!
My name is Cinepod. I arrive to the Earth to show you how this thing you call music should really sound like. Our “music” is much more complex than yours, so i know very well what I’m doing.

I know I look a bit scared, but believe me, with my 25 cms height and 4,5 kilos I am in a very good shape. And the other reason why I don’t need to be frightened, is that I brought my whole family with me.

We are multicoloured, and we’re waiting in more than 800 stores in over 30 countries for you to pick us up.

Your age doesn’t matter anymore when it comes to being a geek.

Or does it?

Probably we’re never going to make our dog love the hoover, but we might be more succesful with makig our children love them. Or at least ride them.

The designer is Kristina Andersson. The aim is to involve children in cleaning up. But at least stopping them from screaming while they’re not in the focus of our attention.

Here’s another Fred Flare item that makes me want to chirp, so this unofficialy makes us a fan. But as a dog-obsessed person, i can’t imagine anything more adorable than using a sleeping puppy as my wrist cushion.

Althought now that i think of it, a sleeping cat would be just as adorable.

I’ve been waiting for so long for someone to come up with a design for this. There’s no more complaining about back problems. Matthias Lange designed the foot-dustpan, so you can avoid bending down.

Now we only need to learn a safe and elegant way to pour the dust in the bin with an acrobatic movement, and we’re ready to sweep.
There is a positive side to food obsession. For instance, it created laptop sleeves like this.

With this Fred Flare item you can make your loved laptop even sweeter. “Computer text is embroidered to remind you not to cut a slice!” How thoughtful of them.

Daniela Edburg is a visual artist, who lives in Mexico, and i can relate to every single piece of her new series. As a happy consumer, we know, there are some products that take over our lives. Yes, i did eat a box of biscuits all at once, or a box of chocolate. Or a whole Nutella.

The series, Drop Dead Gorgeous is focused on these obsessions, and it works as a mirror with its extreme scenery. An other interesting thing is that the artist is working only with her friends, no models. So every “victim” plays herself on the photo.

Well, if next time she’s looking for volunteers, i know someones suitable. - thought the article writer and finished off the last biscuit.
We already wrote about the creative ideas of Electrolux on this site. This is the 5th year they announce the Design Lab Competition, and they’re accepting your entries until August 1, 2007.

The competition thinks afar - they want to know what your ideas and solutions are for the year 2020, concerning eco-friendly and sustainable household appliances. “The goal is to go above and beyond simple energy and water efficiency and suggest ways to foster sustainable behaviour and product usage.” The finalists will travel to Paris to make a final presentation to the jury.
If you’re into rap at all, you might like the promotion video, but us, we would recommend to find inspiration in browsing the finalists from the last 4 years on the official website of the competition.
We already recommended a screwdriver for our always glamourous readers, but summer’s here, it’s time to work on the garden. But of course, it doesn’t matter how, i mean, with what!

These were made by Wild and Wolf for the V&A museum shop, with the original William Morris patterns from the 19th century. Now that we have these, we only have to save money for a garden.

If Karakiri wasn’t enough for your hugging needs, here’s another item for those colder nights. The american Greener Grass Design duo is offering over 30 international designers work, including these Get Cosy cushions from the Berlin based BombDesign.

They are 65 x 65 cms, or 45 x 45 cms for the children, and they come in different colours.

The company Buchegger, Denoth, Feichtner Design don’t want to be loved by everyone. Their approach is different from recent trends, they don’t want to fit in. “The point no longer is to be liked by the masses regardless of age, sex and cultural background but to find independent solutions.” This shows in angular forms, uncomfortable but inviting looks.

But there is one that still looks trendy, and lovely, nevertheless. That is the Tablechair, that can be transformed from a table into a chair. Or from a chair into a table.

There are more patterns to choose from, and although the company doesn’t like mass production, i think this one would be very practical in bars with too many tables but never enough chairs.
