“Placing dead bodies is not allowed.” The weirdest sign I’ve ever seen. Bretagne, France.
(I’m sure there is an explonation, although my french friends didn’t understand either.)

Hi (from Bretagne :) )
A “Corps-mort” is a nautical term (in France, not only in Brittany). It refers to a big and heavy piece of concrete, linked to a mooring buoy by a cable. A kind of permanent anchor.
I don’t know why it’s call a “dead corpse”, I wonder if it’s a pun related to gangster movies, with the gangsters drowning people with contrete on the feet.
Anyway, it’s not a common word, I know it only because I did a little bit of sailing.
