I don’t own a TV, but this sticker might be useful on my laptop as well sometimes.

This is sold with the slogan, ‘Start a new life!’ for 9 euros. It is removabe and reusable. Use it.

Off to a roadtrip in misty Ireland!
(Posts will be a bit sparse in the next two weeks!)
Everyone who ever lived in a close to zero square meters room will appreciate any design that concerns saving the oh-so-needed space. Diana Halbeisen’s table concept is perfect, since it functions exactly how it a table should, taking up no more space than necessary, and only for the duration of the usage.

I know this is a sofa that looks like a brush, somehow I still associate to a creepy creature. But it’s probably just me.

This very comfy looking couch was design by a student at Bucks New University.
However, as a reader of Core77 pointed out, this has been done before. Although Pratone is a tuft of grass, the similarity is there.
You might have noticed by now my obsession with colours. And noone uses colours better than Jamie Nelson photographer from New York.

She’s only 24, but she has already worked together with the biggest brands, and her works were published in well known, well loved magazines.

Her faithful team includes Danielle Brown art director, Lottie make-up artist and G42 hairstylist.

And their work is addictive and inspirational beyond words.

Check out their sites for more photos!
Welcome. Let us introduce you to the products of the Hulger company.

Luckily the introduction doesn’t start like that, although they have one eye in the past. But the other is focusing directly on all things new: PCs, Macs, bluetooth, and other mobile phones, to make sure you can use your Hulger phone the way you’re used to do your phonecalls.

And since the whole blogosphere seems to have talked about these before, the only thing we need to do is choose a favourite:
We can’t avoid to acknowledge that Halloween is almost here. It seems that the swedish Pluto Produkter team is fully prepared for the day.
If you need a cookie tray,

or a coathanger,

or a napkin holder,

or a shower curtain,

or any other things, they make sure you aren’t left without the skull pattern. Now when we thought skulls were out.
I’m really glad to see that its not only me who has this ‘where to put my hand to be comfortable’ issue.
Laurence Willmott from the InsigthOutsight collective approaches design through interaction between people. He observes people’s rituals, and finds inspiration through it. So watching lovers failing to walk all cuddled up resulted in the idea of the For Me For You.

One hand’s in the pocket the other’s on the shoulder.

It makes it so much easier.

The Paris-based Triode Design has come out with a new product, named T33. Not only the name, but the look also reminds us of a subterrean creature. Just look at those tentacles!

Mahmoud Akram’s design of this flying saucer lamp consists of the repetition of one single plexiglass module to the infinite.

And it’s also pretty!
The product will be launched at Maisons & Objets fair next january.
We did write about a beautiful shadow lamp before. The idea behind the New York-based artist, Adam Frank’s Lumen is similar, but still it is something new.

It is an oil lamp, so as the flame flickers the shadow moves about organically. The stand is made of stainless-steal, and it comes with two 17-hour fuel cells.

You can now order it at the website of the designer, where you can also find his other great works, including installations investigating light and shadow.
Let’s stay at the subject. Kittens. Animals.
Even if these aren’t really practical (uncomfortable to step on, hard to clean), these floor tiles, designed by Tuuka Tujula and Maija Puoskari, two designers from the finnish Juju Design Party, have some irresistible charm.

Snow Print tiles mimics the footprints of many finnish wild animals.

These are a concept, so we have to wait some time before we can order tiles costumized with the footprints of our own pets.

Science has proved: we find anything cute that has a big head and big eyes. The people behind Button Eye make the most of this.

These hand made pieces remind me of my favourite ragged plush toys from my childhood, that my mum tried so desperately to mend after I cried a river over one torn off eye.

As we’ve seen not long ago with the plush kittens, these things (rather than kittens) have their own names and care instructions. You can order them as toys, or as framed pictures to put on your wall.

Today, it’s all about details. We designed just about everything in the world, to match our hair, to match our mood. Here’s a little detail, tags for our luggage to match our attitude!

These are supposed to make it easier to recognize your own luggage. Although I might miss those nervous moments, when I’m trying to figure out if I picked up the right bag.

Not to mention those nervous moments when I’m trying to figure out if everybody else has picked the right bags, or someone got mine by mistake.
Ok, i probably wouldn’t miss that.
At first sight, these might look as those hair dryers from the hair saloons back in the 80s (or even earlier?).

But with their height of 30 cm it is clear, that these are desk lamps. You can buy them at Kitsch22, for the fairly inexpensive price of 26 pounds.

Forget television. Forget lamps. Forget 3D. The dutch designer, Jonas Samson has come up with a better idea.

His design, the light emitting wallpaper solves the question of mood lighting and decoration.

We’d love to see the realisation of this concept, so it’s not only the lucky dutch who could stare at this interactive wall decoration after good times in the coffe shops.

Jörg Gatjens german designer aimed his design at a wide group of people: those who litter.

We hope he could help.
We all know very well, that no matter where the music is, no matter where the food is, no matter where the drinks are, the best place to be on private parties is in the kitchen. That is where main things happen. That was the inspiration for the german architects And Off to design the first kitchen club, in a venue called Die Blaue Caro, Blue Diamond.

The existing tiles of the floor covers the wall and the ceiling as well, but some of the blue bits were changed for speakers, lighting, and other functional features.

Die Blaue Caro gives place only to temporary clubs, so you need to visit now, as soon it will be changed into something new - with the place constantly expanding and rearranging.

Although we suspect that will be something to watch out for as well.

People like me, who think tidying up equals putting everything away in drawers, need people like Chong Mingliang Sky, who makes sure with her fantastic USB key-holder design, that important things have their own place.

Although we could use this with our existing USB drives, but only in an ideal world do we have five of the same drives. Luckily, the holder comes with five matching USB keys, each with keychain attachments. Once we plug one in, the flame shaped LED above it lights up, so from a distance, it looks like a set of candles.

Everyone has an opinion about french people. And french people have an opinion about parisians. So why is that? The reasons are all included in this one piece of sticker from the parisian shop, Paristic.

(I don’t like anything. I’m parisian.)
The city might be a bit picky, but people there are blessed with a good taste. Thanks to that, there are other beautiful wall stickers in the shop, and you don’t need to be a parisian to like them.

These stickers present the typical parisian sights, so it’s a great source for nostalgia for the lovers of the city. They all vary in price, and all are available in plenty of colours, arriving in a well-designed tube.
