Brush or tuft

I know this is a sofa that looks like a brush, somehow I still associate to a creepy creature. But it’s probably just me.

This very comfy looking couch was design by a student at Bucks New University.

However, as a reader of Core77 pointed out, this has been done before. Although Pratone is a tuft of grass, the similarity is there.
