A green banana, that you buy thinking it will turn yellow and ripe. Something like this is the concept of the dutch company, De Groene Banaan. This is the idea that made them create their product named Ivy.

Ivy is an external hard drive. It’s easy to guess: when you start using it by storing data, it will alter its skin visualising the content of the hard disk.

The pattern is always personal: it is created by the actual data, so it will be different every time you upload something new on it.

It’s not really appropriate to talk about calories during the holidays, but still. Even though the prototype is only in process at the moment, we really like this slicer, that cruelly shows us all the disadvantages of being the cheese lover I am.

This slim slicer has been designed for hard cheese, and would be a great tool to keep yourself to your diet.
Just so you have something to click on while munching on christmas goodies, go and visit Artnet, where you can find a gallery of this years Design Miami. It’s available for three months only.

Although there are too much brown and leather and too many chairs for my liking, it is still worth to check out, there are some very nice design ideas!

When I started my blog last year, one of the first things I wrote about was Hotel Everland. I never thought that within less than 1,5 years, I’d be able to visit the luxury hotel, that is now located in Paris.

Hotel Everland is on the top of Palais de Tokyo till the end of 2008. It is possible to visit it every day at 16.30.

Unfortunately, they do not allow you in the room, but still you get the idea about what kind of view the people who can afford a night in the hotel enjoy.
Every baby is a real angel. At least their mother think so.

And so does Marie Chantal, so much, she designed these baby pyjamas. We have to admit, these might be rather cute even on a screaming baby!
Now, just a week before christmas, I think we all have a very strong opinion on crowd, on present hunting, on last but faulty pieces, and on the return policies. And there are only a certain amount of people that can comfortably walk on the pavement or can fit in a shop. And there’s only a certain amount of patience we have.
Of course, I’m not a violent person.

It’s only a coincidence, that I fell in love with these t-shirts by Tank Theory, in the middle of this madness.

And it’s also only a coincidence, that these t-shirts are out just now on 80’s Purple for the festive season.

Ignoring all global conspiracy theories, these t-shirts are just simply cool.

I’m sure everyone knows Mr. P, right? We have seen all over the blogosphere what he can do with a scotch tape, or with a towel. What I like best, is what he’s doing with the cords:

Or with the dripping coffee:

Or with salt and pepper:

Yes, this was another bunch of possible christmas presents.
Normally we don’t really like single-use objects, but this one is an exception.

Designed by Nadia Biavaschi and Alessandro Camilli. I’m sure everyone knows someone who could make a good use of it.
Giant, squishable animals. And when I say giant and squishable, I do mean it.

You can order one at Squishable. I’d like one as well please.
I hope you all remember those books where you had to scratch the surface and you got lovely scents? Or not so lovely. In my book, there was also the smell of shoes. Of course, that lasted the longest, and the smell of vanilla or chocolate were gone long before.

Thanks to Jack And Lulu, you can again enjoy scratching and sniffing. These cards are available at Fred Flare.
We found the perfect tea set. No need to argue. It is the one.

Apart from the polka dots, colours, and being a set for one, the most appealing feature of this set is its price. Design My World is selling it for 10.95 pounds only!
For those who prefer less bright colours, it is available in black and white as well.

There are things in life that remain unsolved forever, without even looking for an answer, thinking this is just how life is. Unless someone finally comes up with an idea, which is so obvious, we can’t believe it hadn’t existed before.
Yes, I’m talking about the thumb-thing.

Farewell, fumbling with two hands, welcome, reading with one hand!
You love the yellow cabs of New York? You know someone with tiny feet? Here’s an almost too cute pair of booties.

But make sure those feet are really tiny: it is recommended up to 12 months of age. Get them for 33 dollars at Spoon Sisters!

There are gifts that always work. Like skin care products. But especially when it comes to those, it is recommended to look for the best. Luckily Skin MD Natural cut short my search with sending me a product sample.

The first thing I loved about them is what i found on their page: no animal products or testing. Almost everything can be sold to me with these words, but if you add hydration, protection, sweet-scented, eczema-safe on top of it (this last one is good news for 1 out of 18), it’s sure on my shelf for good.
Skin MD Natural products are available to buy in the US in pharmacies, or you can order directly from their website. If you’re still not sure, they happily send you a sample.
So what makes you happy?

Atypyk thinks it might be this wallet.
“Be good to your credit-card and your credit-card will be good to you. ”
(Or just try and replace the word ‘credit-card’ with something else. Might work.)
