This is not the first time that Hannah Perner-Wilson is featured on this site. Her new project, the JoySlippers, are designed with pressure sensors embedded in both heels and toes that gather the information on the shifted weight, which information is then fed to a computer.

So what is this good for? For example a drawing program could interpret this information by visualizing the motion. That means you practically draw with your feet. This could be really interesting when analyzing dancing patterns.
These slippers are still under work, for example a wireless version is soon to be released. But if you can’t wait, you can make your own JoySlippers.
