Never knew what to do with the mattress that gave you a backache? Too good to throw away but too painful to keep? Just with a little makeover you can turn them into a fully functional seat.

Let’s get a useless antique chair, or its legs, fasten a folded mattress on it, add a colourful coating with spray-on foam, and you’re ready. That was the idea of Frank Willems when making the unique pieces of his Madam Rubens collection.

The chairs are currently exhibited in the Tools Gallery in Paris.
