Robert Bradford was born in London, and he’s the king of making the most of things unwanted. Now I know what to do with all the little toy figures, with all the broken matchbox wheels, with all the broken dolls eyes that gathered up throughout my life.

Although I’m afraid my talent is nowhere anywhere near his.

While I’m fighting against this ugly flu that attacked me a few days ago, please take a look at the works of Matei Apostolescu.

This is my favourite. Which one is yours?

It’s amazig, what this artist is capable of with only a ballpen.

Of course we suppose that the spanish Juan Francisco Casas is using at least a bag of pens for one drawing. For more breathtaking, and not so work safe pictures, visit his gallery!

Your worst childhood nightmare, the monster under the bed is real!

It was Longoland, aka Joshua Ben Longo, who made our fears into a rug.
And if it’s not enough, just go and check out his recent and older works. Me, looking through them, can’t help myself checking under my bed from time to time to see if everything was still alright there.

Brrrrrr.

We all know how very unfairly long or short an hour, a week, a month can be. Time is relative - the biggest cliché of all times. But let’s just see how things would change, if we wouldn’t adjust ourselves to time, but adjusted time to ourselves.
Lousie Klinker and Anab Jain were interested in designing for our perception of time and especially trying to alter or comment on that perception. They aim to do this by introducing time into unexpected relationships with objects.

This last one is my favorite. It looks useful in cutting down on work and increase our time for relaxing and sleeping. Oh, if only!

You might have noticed by now my obsession with colours. And noone uses colours better than Jamie Nelson photographer from New York.

She’s only 24, but she has already worked together with the biggest brands, and her works were published in well known, well loved magazines.

Her faithful team includes Danielle Brown art director, Lottie make-up artist and G42 hairstylist.

And their work is addictive and inspirational beyond words.

Check out their sites for more photos!

So far I resisted the temptation to show anything from everyone’s favourite website of the moment, Skull-A-Day. But after many great posts, yesterday they created the bestestest of them all, and it needs to be shown.

The blog is dedicated to create a skull every day for a year, in the most various, most creative ways you can imagine. Go feed your RSS readers!

The shock! The horror! The ultimate nightmare of children! Teddy bears turned inside out! - is what our first reaction would be. But looking around in the gallery, we find that there are a few we would even adopt.

Maybe not this one thought. The artist responsible for ruining childrens toys is Kent Rogowski, an artist / photographer from New York, whose book Bears is also available to buy. He admits his bears diverged a bit from their original function, be he also hopes that it “inspired young children to liberate their teddy bears by turning them inside out.”
Well, let’s just hope it wont spread on living pets as well.

Yes, i may have had an odd childhood, but i always wanted to be a cartoon hero. This seems to have influenced later my outfits, my haircolours, etc. Although, now it seems, it would have been much easier and healthier to get myself portrayed as one.

“Custom Portraits offers you a unique opportunity to commission personalised pop art portraits. Pepito Junior Carlos, our graphic portrait artist based in London UK, specialises in a funky pop art style influenced by comic book art.” You can choose between modern and retro styles, and you also get to choose the size of the canvas and the colours he’s using.

Daniela Edburg is a visual artist, who lives in Mexico, and i can relate to every single piece of her new series. As a happy consumer, we know, there are some products that take over our lives. Yes, i did eat a box of biscuits all at once, or a box of chocolate. Or a whole Nutella.

The series, Drop Dead Gorgeous is focused on these obsessions, and it works as a mirror with its extreme scenery. An other interesting thing is that the artist is working only with her friends, no models. So every “victim” plays herself on the photo.

Well, if next time she’s looking for volunteers, i know someones suitable. - thought the article writer and finished off the last biscuit.
